Latest Announcement

April 24, 2020

Dear Patients:

A recent update from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends everyone wear a mask when entering a health care setting. We have updated our guidance to align with this recommendation.

o   The new process:

  • All team members, patients and patient family members are required to wear a mask in our health care facilities.
  • This includes anywhere patients are present.
  • This does not impact team members who are working from home or in a corporate setting where patients are not present.

o   All team members:

  • Team members can wear their own mask if you are not having direct patient care. Please remember to launder cloth masks daily.
  • The procedure mask is to be used the entire shift where possible and should be worn with direct patient care.  Examples of when masks can be removed include eating, drinking and donning or doffing into the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

o   Patients and family members:

  • If an appointment or procedure is scheduled, patients should be asked to bring their own mask (any face-covering approved by the CDC is acceptable).
  • If a patient comes without a mask, they should be given one upon entering the entity.
  • Visitors should bring their own mask and it would  be appreciated as we should remind people the shortage of our PPE.

NOTE: No patients or visitors will be able to stay with a refusal to wear a mask with in the clinics.

IMPORTANT: At this time, SCNM clinics are unable to test for coronavirus. If you are sick with COVID-19 or suspect you are infected with a virus that causes COVID-19, please follow the steps recommended by the AZ Department of Health Services and CDC regarding self-isolation.  Please call us, your doctor, or the health department to arrange for testing by the health department.

To decrease risks, we are limiting the amount of non-essential visitors inside our clinics. A caregiver is permitted to accompany you but otherwise, we are asking for all visits to be patients only.

We hope you will join us in our efforts to take proper precautions during this challenging time. Together we can continue to provide all members of our community the opportunity to obtain optimal health, naturally.

Remember to take steps to keep yourself healthy—wash your hands, avoid touching your face, and practice appropriate self-care, including staying home when you are sick.
